I belong to a book club that sends out emails that includes excerpts from books as well as a "Dear Reader" column. I enjoy Suzanne's writing sometimes more that the book selections.
On Thursday I just had to make a comment to her post and no way did I think she would include what I wrote in her column today! Amazing.
Below is today's entry and my suggestion to join the club.
Dear Reader,
Last Thursday's column produced so much email from readers that I thought it deserved a second go-around. Especially since some reader replies read like a column. We've got some great writers out there! If you missed last Thursday's column, go to:http://tinyurl.com/2qmswf
Reader's Confessions...From my Email Bag:
"Oh Suzanne, this is the second time I've written about something that has hit me right between the eyes--it was your resolution about not letting what other people think of you get in the way of things. I suffer from this malady myself, and while I'm sorry to hear that you do as well, at least it's good to know that I'm not alone. I can't tell you how many times this has gotten in the way of my day and how many times it has caused undue stress on relationships. Gee, are they upset with me? I'll tell them I'm sorry. Now they think I'm nuts because they have no idea what I'm talking about. Now I'll apologize for being nuts, because, after all, who wants to be friends with a nut job like me? But after all, I was just wanting to besure that they were ok and that I hadn't done anythingwrong to upset them. Now if I apologize for the apology, they'll have me committed, right? AAAAAAAAAGHHGHGHGH! Never ending cycle, sometimes, isn't it? I'm working hard on that one this year as well. Mine seems to occur during a natural cycle of hitting a peak every 3 monthsor so. One of my friends and I have vowed to try to help break this cycle this year. Let's hope it works.Anyway, I wanted to thank you for sharing that thismorning. It was SO timely and so right on target. I really needed to hear that this morning.(gee....I hope Suzanne doesn't think I'm crazy now.....hmmmmmm.....should I apologize?)"

"Suzanne,
I truly enjoy your writing and insights. I hope your resolution works. May I suggest a little phrase I use when I begin to analyze others...I think, 'It could be gas!' that makes me smile as I move on. Sometimes it just doesn't matter and we will never have all the answers or solutions--DARN! I also like thinking that someone is in a warmer place than I--Ah, Florida! It is currently snowing here in Ukraine. I am glad I am indoors.
Serving with joy!"AnnMarie
The emails readers sent were too funny! Nothing more to say, other than, "Here's to thoughts of gas and to not wondering this year what other people are thinking!
"Thanks for reading with me. It's so good to read with friends.
Warm regards,Suzanne Beecher

There you go... a new post from me and the elated feeling that something I said made someone laugh. Blessings to you and the New Year!
I plan to continue to write my views of things from this side of the world and think about warmer climates while the water in the river and canal has frozen over. I need to remember to write about the men who sit upon the ice all day during the winter months.
